Daniel pushing for No. 3 quarterback slot in Washington

August 25, 2009

By Robert Mays

After completing six of his eight passes in the Redskins’ 17-13 preseason victory over the Steelers it looks as if former MU quarterback Chase Daniel is making a push to position himself as the No. 3 quarterback  in Washington.

Daniel completed two touchdown passes in the win for the Redskins, and USA Today’s Gary Mihoces writes that despite being brought in as an undrafted free agent behind second year player Colt Brennan, Daniel is fighting for a roster spot.
