OFFICIAL: Mizzou vs. Navy in Texas Bowl

The Missouri Tigers have accepted a bid to play in the Texas Bowl on Dec. 31. The Tigers (8-4) will face the Navy Midshipmen (8-4).

The Midshipmen still play Army next week. The Texas Bowl is in Houston on ESPN.

This will be Missouri’s fifth straight bowl appearance. The Tigers are 3-1 in that stretch.

The Texas Bowl got the last selection among Big 12 teams. Iowa State (6-6) was taken by the Insight Bowl.

  1. Let me get this straight… Mizzou actually thought they deserved a “better” bowl?! Maybe you should just ask for either 1.) a lesser opponent, OR 2.) show some self-respect by actually showing up to play. Arrogance from the Tiger nation has been replaced by a litany of excuses. I think Ol’ Mizzou probably got more than they deserved in even being offered a bid from the Texas Bowl. Congratulations, Midshipmen! You played a great game against an over-rated, over-confident, and over-touted opponent. Tiger nation, try to show a little more class as you eat your humble pie.
