Jared Perry can play against Navy (From MUTigers.com)

According to the MU athletic department, Missouri WR Jared Perry is healthy enough to play in Thursday’s Texas Bowl game against Navy. Perry has been practicing with the rest of the team.

Perry hurt his knee Nov. 14 against Kansas State and missed the rest of the regular season. He spent some time on crutches while the team prepared for its final games against Iowa State and Kansas. Pinkel said at the time that Perry’s progress would be evaluated during December.

This is great news for MU and the senior from La Marque, Texas, a town just 45 minutes from Houston. Perry, who started every game this year up until his injury, has 46 catches for 696 yards and 6 touchdowns this year (second on the team in every category behind Danario Alexander).

Mizzou’s Jared Perry, a senior wide receiver, will miss the rest of the season with a broken bone in his right leg. Perry got hurt in the second quarter Saturday against Kansas State.

According to the athletic department, it’s possible he could return for a bowl game depending on his recovery and when Missouri plays.

Perry has contributed heavily to the Missouri offense in his four years in Columbia. He ranks 7th in touchdown catches (13) and 8th in receiving yards (1,844) at Mizzou. He is 9th overall in catches with 137.

Sophomore Jerrell Jackson is now No. 1 on the depth chart at WR along with Danario Alexander and Wes Kemp.
